Myself and my g/f have recently taken out the Virgin Flying Club CC on the £1=1mile card where you also get 2000 bonus miles on the first purchase.

I previously had a Virgin CC and had 4000 member points on which could be converted to miles. This didn't initally happen but after several phone calls I got these converted over. However I noticed tonight that they have not credited me my last batch of miles, instead deciding to credit me with the very last balance of my old Virgin Credit Card???

My g/f is also having problems in that they are not crediting her with her 1st purchase 2000 miles bonus, and instead of giving her the full £1=1mile credit on her most recent statement, they have give her a figure of 88 miles instead of what should be 186 miles.

We have both been trying to sort this out via phone but no one seems to know what they are on about. We have been told we need to join flying club (hello! we already are), ring virgin atlantic, it takes 30 days to credit, we don't do flying club cards and everything like that!

Has anyone else experienced these sorts of problem and has any suggestions what we should do to try and sort them out?

I just phoned them and they sorted it out. It turned out my FC number had gone missing off the account. Phone the members shop (08456 10 2000), they seem to know more about this sort of thing.

Also, miles earnt towards the end of the statement month will go on the following month, and you only get miles for each individual transactions, so 2 purchases of £1.50 will only get you two miles, not three, so it will look slightly less than expected.

If you are phoning the normal customer service number you will get no help at all. As Locutus says, all miles transactions are looked after by the members shop, give them a call and they will get you fixed up right away. [y]

Andy we have had exactly the same problem, telephoned several times with no joy. We will definately try the members shop recommended by locutus[oo]

G/F rang this morning and was told its being sorted now. I noticed on mine that 3 out 4 transactions came on the day before the statement so probably won't go over, and the one that I thought didn't is the exact same amount of my last bill so thats where that come from.

Fingers crossed this is sorting it.

I recently took out the Virgin credit card and I'd completely forgotten about the 2000 bonus points for the 1st transaction! It says it can take up to 30 days to be credited so I'll wait a bit longer before chasing it up.

Rang the members shop today and spoke to a very friendly person who is going to sort it out for me.
