Thinking of a short 4 day break to get hitched. Any ideas for something nice, but low key - will just be the two of us! Currently looking at a nice hotel (Bellagio/Venetian etc..) and using one of the hotel packages. Would welcome any thoughts, experiences or suggestions before we go ahead.

Mount Charleston is not the best place to get married at that time of the year due to the summer heat beating the heck out of the vegitation up there, better in the spring..

Ok weddding pointers.

Seeing as it's just the two of you.....

Take a look here Phil did our wedding and I can only give him the highest praise.

He could marry you just about anywhere in the state.

Ok for the wedding take a look hereor here.

Ok now just to throw something in..take a look here

Seeing as it's just the two of you this maybe the place to go,just a romantic long weekend away.

Anyways feel free to drop me a line if you have any questions, between myself and Armadilo we should be able to answer most Vegas questions.

We got married in LV a couple of years ago at The Little Chapel of the Flowers. I can thoroughly recommend it for your special day.

Good luck with your wedding.

Thanks everyone for the information. We've booked the flights for Aug 20th so really need to get in gear and organise the rest! For convenience we're also considering getting married where we stay, possibly in a suite or the hotel chapel.

Feel free to offer suggestions for must see/do/eat while we're there.

Just to clear that up,as it took me reading it 3 times to figure it out,he means LOVE the new CDS show at The Mirage.

Just a thought,if you stay at Mandalay This Chapel is right across the street.

You could always get married at the top of the Stratosphere tower followed by a rollercoaster ride:D View is superb

thanks D, (was thinking aloud, without explaining!) [:I]

Shame the show is not on, when you are in town, it's supposed to be cool.

Have a great time and enjoy married life.

The roller coaster is gone, but there are still three rides up there.

Also I must note that The Strat has just started another renovation, this will take approx. 3 months,we are getting a nightclub, new sportsbook and poker room.

All new carpets and a general gut the place and start again [y].

A new bar is going up in the middle of the casino and the table games will be around that rather than spread out around the casino, think Hard Rock and you have a good idea of what that area will look like.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Right now we are edging towards staying and getting hitched at the Wynn. Any comments good or bad before we take the plunge?

Just discovered Tom Jones is playing the MGM while we are in town - a big favourite with my partner! Loads of brownie points if I could get good tickets for the show. Are the best tickets available through the MGM booking office or is there an alternative route?

MGM uses ticketmaster for all their bookings so you could use them,MGM site would probably be best.

There are some discount places around, but you never know what they are going to stock, remembering this is your honeymoon it may be a good idea to spend the little extra money and make sure you get the tickets.

Welcome to V-Flyer,where we will allways kick a man on the way down.

Anyways, the Wynn is nice, probably the #2 resort in town right now at least when it comes to the rooms.

It can get a little pricey in there, but oh well.

BTW,the ticket place I was refering to is right across the street,it's called tickets2nite I think.

I wasn't so much trying to be cheap and get discount tickets - honest! I was looking for tips on the best way to get some really good seats. The best available at MGM online are about half way towards the back.

Thanks for all the info. We went for the Wynn in the end and had a fabulous time. We booked a Parlor Suite and got upgraded to a Salon Suite at check-in. The room and every aspect of the hotel was fantastic. Had read some not so good comments before our trip, but we had no problems whatsoever. The staff there couldn't do enough for you.

We ate at Nobill which was excellent - thanks for the recommendation Jetwet. Also dined at SW and Daniel Boulud in the Wynn which were equally good.
