BA report a 57% increase in Q1 profits

Not virgin news I know, but perhaps related to some of our current gripes with Virgins fall in standards

I only have 2 words about these profit results, Willie Walsh. That man can turn a sinking ship into a profit. He did it with EI and now hes doing the same with BA

Indeed, and a quick Google will reveal that the way he did it was not without controversy and if he plans to do the same with BA as he did with EI then for the majority of passengers the standard of service will decline.

BA was hardly a sinking ship, problems yes but profitable non the less.I do not like his bean counter style one bit,I hope his tenure is short lived and he is gone before BA is junked.
