Am i imagining it but I've spent two hours this morning on the amex website to see a)

Do you still get the lounge privlages with NWA and CO on any class with your plat amex?

Do you still get entry into Eurostar lounge with the plat card?

What is the current deal with the BOGOF airfares as I can't find anywhere airlines participating and if they actually are still doing it?

I know it's prob me being sleep deprived starting nights but I looked and looked and can't find any info. Does anyone have any links or know about these benefits and if the still are avail as the membership pack doesn't really say much and so now we're paying £300 for the priority pass thing and thats about it so might end up cancelling it.

Thanks everyone.

Hi Ade,

That would be due to the AmEx website being ****e.

Flight Companions
http://www.americanexpress.co.uk/flightcompanions
Though in true AmEx style, the page is well out of date.

For lounge access, you have your priority pass, plus access to the BMI lounges, Eurostar and the ones' available to US members:

Free admission through the Airport Club Access Program
Wait for your flights in the comfort of a private airport club. Platinum Card members, as well as their spouses and children under the age of 21 or up to two traveling companions, can enjoy complimentary access to participating Continental Airlines Presidents Club¨, Delta Crown Room Club¨, and Northwest Airlines WorldClubs¨ locations worldwide when traveling with the respective airline that is operating the flight.

Hope this helps,
Richard

Thanks Richard

I was just starting to think that the £300 fee now seemed only for the priority pass for me and the supplementary card hold. Incidently I filled in the details to get membership to the avis prefered and sofiitel one months back (2 and 1/2) and they only arrived yesterday I wonder if Amex were keeping them stacked up and then sending a whole load of them through (not that we use Sofitel or Avis but its nice to have just in case for the extra perks like late checkout.

Can you confirm where you got the Eurostar info on? I am travelling next week and would use this - butI have heard that Eurostar can be awkward! If I can point them to a website it might help.

It has been a benefit ever since I have been a member - March 2000. It should be in the members guide to benefit. It is for the cardholder only though, no guest - unless they have their own Plat or Cent card.

Thanks,
Richard
