Balance Transfer

Just a quickie if I may, I get totally confused with what I can do/can't do, what benefits etc with the new VS Amex card, if I transfer a balance to it, do I get miles for that balance, ie if i transfer £500 would I get 500miles for it?. I know its probably a stupid question and guess the answer is no, but any help would be appreciated.

Hi Neil,

Balance transfers don't pick up miles unfortunately. I'm sure people would have money yo-yo'ing around month after month earning silly amounts of miles.

I thought that was the case, but suddenly has a thought a 5am this morning that I might of found a way to beat the system, bascially as you just said, tut, oh well looks like ill have to go shopping now instead to get some miles, life's tough at times[:w]
