Hello,

Just wondering if theres anyway of checking (without calling MBNA) if my Flying Club number is associated with my Virgin CC? I expected it to be listed somewhere on my MBNA CC account when i log in but its not.

I guess I could phone them, but based on some posts ive read on here, all the staff are clueless anyway!!

Thanks,
Wayne

No, you'll need to phone them and ask them what FC number they have for you, don't give them yours and ask them to confirm it though. That way you know it is either right or wrong.

If you log onto your Flying Club account on the VS web site then you should see a note with 0 miles attached saying "Your flying club account is now registerd online". I was told by VS that this showed that the MBNA link had been made with my account

I noticed on the letter inviting to change over to the amex card that my flying club number was at the top right hand corner of the letter. Needless to say the number was in fact incorrect. I think that MBNA were still working on my very first number which I received when I joined flying club, but having moved up and down to silver and back again, the number has changed twice.

I haven't had any problem getting my miles as I am assuming that Virgin's system links old numbers to the new ones but just for belt and braces sake, I decided to call and make sure that MBNA had the correct and current number. What a nightmare trying to get them to understand that the number can actually change but eventually managed to get them to alter it anyway and all appears to be well.:D

hiya all - hope everyone is good (been away on busines for a while)

well MBNA certainly are the worst of the worst...

still trying to get 40,000 miles from them (booked a couple of flights - love the 6 miles per pound spent)...

they admitted messing up flying club numbers and amex numbers at long last....

my miles apparantely were credited to someone in cornwall!! and I'm in London EC2!

Sorry Mark but that's not correct. The transaction "Your flying club account is now registered online" appears only when your first register your Flying Club account for online viewing. I think you also see this transaction appear if you change your email address you have set up within your FC account. It's nothing to do with MBNA at all.
