Just had the latest and most amazing experience with MBNA so far.

Purchased just over 2000 pounds of PC equipment and used my BMI Mastercard with dabs.com. All appeared ok and I have to complete a second stage of security (called 3D I think) and the transaction did nto appear to be declined.

About 45 minutes later I get a call from MBNA and they want to confirm the transaction, not surprising and I provided all the requested information.

So far so good, however it then turned out that they were not going to approve the transaction and I had to go and place the order again!

They could not provide any reasonable explanation, I get calls from time to time confirming I have made a purchase and these are then always approved.

So the purchase was declined later that day and as I was driving all day and unable to replace the order I could not get it delivered the following working day as I needed.

I was so frustrated I have canceled the card which causes me a small amount on inconvenience as it is good to have a backup to amex from time to time.

So nothing really surprising with MBNA letting us down again but annoying all the same.
