A great story that it's made its first commercial flight today, however I found this most tastealicious when reading about it on the SIA web site:

Singapore Airlines Suites customers will enjoy some of the world’s finest wines, starting with Dom Pérignon Rosé 19961, then some of the finest red wines of the last century: Château Cos D’Estournel 1982, Château Pichon-Longueville Comtesse De Lalande 1982, and Australia’s Penfolds Grange Hermitage Shiraz 1990.

Oh yum [|)]

I like this quote from The Register

Laurence Watts said during the flight: "I'm actually sitting in the economy class on the lower deck of the plane. The most amazing thing is here you have two classes of economy, split over two decks, with stairs in between the two, which I think is a huge novelty for everyone.

Imagine, two classes of economy, separated by stairs. It'll never catch on. Anyone who does this would be foolish and will soon be back to providing economy on the lower decks. [:w]

I prefer the term 'Steerage Class' [}:)]

Don't you think the 19961 Dom would be a bit young in the mouth?
