So last night in Vegas they imploded one of the strips older hotels. At 65 years old, it was clearly ready for its pension.
They started with a fireworks display, kicking off around 2.30am.

From our vantage point on the parking garage at Wynn (directly opposite) we had an excellent view. The firework display was pretty impressive.

Then they finally blew the main building itself, which came down like a pack of cards. Apologies for the shaky nature of the photo - it was pretty dark!

And then the crowds scattered atop the Wynn parking garage as the huge dust cloud came rushing toward us. It did a pretty good job of surrounding the Wynn entirely. I notice this morning, the windows could do with a good clean!
