Has anyone noticed the ability to pay your account online has disappeared with their recent web page revamp. When you ring them you are only offered the auto option to pay the minimum amount by debit card.I held for over 30 minutes to try and pay with a human before giving up. I really find them an obnoxious company forever trying to drag people into more debt.On their web site you can request balance transfers, credit limit increases but you can't pay your bloody bill.Oh and those bloody credit card cheques drop through the door almost daily.I have had enough of them god knows what MC visa card to start using.

It's still on my Amex account, listed under payments, or there's a make a payment option on the snapshot page. [?]

Should have said it's a BMI MBNA mastercard account, well 2 accounts in fact.

Just checked my online BMI M/C account and the payment button is still there. It's on the front summery page next to where it says 'minimum payment of £xxx due by'

Edit to add - I always start from the Virgin Money web site, but it doesn't matter where you start from as you will still be able to see all your MBNA accounts regardless of brand you have set up online, where ever you start your MBNA net session from.

One thing to watch though when paying online with MBNA is that the web site is behind somewhat. I made a payment online last week on the 5th (after 5pm so it wouldn't have been processed until the 6th even though MBNA do authorise your payment immediately) and the payment hit my VS Amex account on the 8th but I couldn't see that payment until the 9th (even though the payment date did say the 8th).

MBNA disable the 'pay now' button when there are "processing problems". I once rang them to pay over the phone and mentioned the online option was gone and they told me that they remove it for operational reasons sometimes.

JP, call them. I am sure they will credit you back the interest if you explain that the payment page wasnt functioning. I have found that once you get through to someone with the thinking stick that they are quite reasonable.

Do watch out for interest the following month though. I notice that they never retro-credit that off.

As a side, Ive had huge issues paying my Bmi CC this month. Had to do it by phone as once I'd got to the payment page and hit 'enter' I'd get that 'activate this security feature' thing (which i dont want to do!) and there would be no 'later' button. You couldnt make a payment unless you joined up to the service. Talk about choice :)

Thanks,
Sarah
