Just seen this whilst on the Flybe website. Press Release

Let another franchise of BA's is gone- think BA will need to be renamed to British International Airways as they seem to be loosing any sort of credible domestic presence.

Flybe are expanding at a rapid rate of knots and seem to have found a real niche in the market.

One would think that the name 'London Airways' also suits BA.

Good to see flybe expanding again, just hope they don't get to the point that they've taken bites which are too big to swallow. Although last year's purchase with BA Connect and experience gained form that will mean that they'll be in a better position to integrate Loganair this time.

I thought this was just a franchise as they did with BA & Loganair remains independant????

Next step will be the purchase of BMiBaby, now that will be buying & NOT just a franchise.

Flybe do seem to be expanding prety quickly at the expense of BA's domestic feed. Does BE have any agreements/codeshares with other int'l airlines?

They codeshare with BA on the old BACON routes, I think this will only be for a couple of years.

They also codeshare with Brussels Airlines on their services to BRU from NCL, BRS EXT, SOU and BHX. THis allows for worldwide connections but is not advertised at all.

They also have some kind of agreement with CO. I can find nothing on the Flybe website but when I flew EXT-GLA last time it was with a CO flight number and they gave onboard advice about how to connect onto the CO service to EWR.

CO seems a very good match for BE with all of CO's regional EWR flights. EK would also be a potential future good match.
