Manila - Where to stay?

Have a business trip coming up in August in Manila. Just booked Ethiad F (over 2.7k cheaper than anybody else and a direct flight from Dublin via Abu)

I have never been to Manila before so would like to know where is best to stay (5*) and the best area to hit the watering holes at night - any information please would be fantastic.

Can't help on the hotel / bar recommendations but would love to read an Etihad F TR/pics if you get the chance!

NS, My folks this morning have just taken off with them in F and I was speaking to them prior to take of as they were taking their seats. They were very impressed indeed and said the space / seats were fantastic. I would imagine it will be a suprb experience but comparing Cathay/ BA + SIA F I am not sure. I just could not believe the price difference between the flights - Here is the actual price differences for you all to compare
