QF A380 Emergency Landing

Two pax became ill it seems, but they had to use a 744 to continue the trip onto SYD with the A380 returning empty to SYD: maybe the Fiji runway isn't right for a fully loaded A380?

Apparently they had a warning light in the cockpit to do with air conditioning and had to fly out engineers from Sydney, so the pax were loaded onto a 744 ... according to ANet it's the third time a 380 has landed with ill pax in unusual destinations ... guess they'll stop getting excited about that pretty soon!

as we all know a passenger illness is a fairly common event on aircraft including diverting to a alternate airfield, and i would suggest it is/will be more common on a A380 simply because it carries more passengers hence this type of event will occur more often.

Passengers do get ill on flights, but you have to wonder how many actually fly when they are clearly unfit to fly.

Would imagine the acceptable level to be 'unfit' to board, and what level of 'unfit' their travel insurance would honour are two differing things..[:$]

Could I be so bold to add to the list of 'unfit' passengers any parents who think it's a good idea to let their sprawl of children run riot in Club lounges, whilst in queues and on planes? [:w]
