This is a long shot if there ever was one but knowing the vast travel experience of VFers I would not be surprised if someone can provide me with some comprehensive information.

I have been invited to a wedding in Poznan, Poland at the start of June. After a bit of research it seems my cheapest option (ignoring the likes of Wizz and the god damn awful airline which now charges for the use of the loo) is to fly on the new LHR-TXL service from LH. Then hire a car and drive across to Poznan.

I need a hotel for two nights in Berlin. One night at TXL and the other night can either be back at TXL or in Berlin. Any suggestions. The best I can seem to find near to TXL is a Novotel.

I then need a hotel for one night in Poznan. My eyes lit up when I found that Sheraton have a property in Poznan but having looked at the prices (more expensive than one of the many W Hotels in NYC for a night) I think I want somewhere cheaper.

So V-Flyers does anyone have any recommendations for TXL and more importantly (but pretty unlikely I feel) for Poznan.

TBH, if you've ever been to TXL then you know that there is not much in the immediate area (or in the actual airport terminal!!).

However the area of Charlottenberg and Ku-Damm are only about 10 minutes away by bus (Number 109 and 2.30 Euro fare) so it might even make more sense to stay there than at the airport.

What kind of hotel are you looking for in Berlin - I have many suggestions!

And LH starting LHR-TXL direct - AT LAST!!!!! [^][^][^][^][^][^][^][^]

Somewhere that is decent, clean, good for working in. Anywhere that earns me miles is a bonus. Having said that our visit to Berlin will only be fleeting, so maybe an airport hotel is better?

At the sacrifice of BD's LBA-LHR route. The flight is operated by BD crew and aircraft but with, as far as I can tell, no BD codeshare. Another sign of the closer co-operation between BD and LH.
