Just so this doesn't get lost in the usual Vegas stuff [:D]

There is a reason for this actually, The M is a few miles south of the strip, out Henderson way facing the valley, so it may not spring to mind as a place to stay.

This I think would be a mistake, I was holding of judgment for a while till I had a chance to stay there, however something kind of funny just happened, you see we were out there yesterday for brunch and while in general the place is fantastic (I will get back to that in a bit) there was a food issue.

I ordered a burger with fries, the fries that came out could best be described as McDonald's rejects, so after I got home I fired of an e-mail explaining how much I enjoyed our visit to the resort but that the fries were sub standard IMHO [:D]

Thinking that at best would get an email back saying thank you for the comment I was a little more than surprised when the phone rang this morning with the caller id showing the M-Resort.

I was even more surprised when the person introduced himself as Mr Marnell, the CEO of the resort.

We spent 10 minutes discussing our thoughts on french fries ! and another 10 on the resort itself, the end result, he agrees with me, the fries will be changed to something of a little higher standard.

Anyways, back to my first thoughts on the resort.

In someways it reminds me of RedRock Station, but there is something different about it, very different, the resort cost over a billion dollars to build, that is for a 390 room hotel, so some would ask where did the money go, the answer is everywhere, from the woods to the marble floors it is easy to see that the company did not pinch pennies. The last time I was this impressed by a hotel lobby was at the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego, however here it is not so much the size as the look, words can not do it justice.

If your looking for a place to stay in Vegas and want to get away from the crowds I would say take a look at the M-Resort, you may just find a new home from home.

Sounds like a place for another time. I quite like Henderson as it has a totally ub-Vegas feel to it but is still really close if the need to go arises.

Just wish all CEOs would do that in response to complaints or especially when praising.
