Just thought I'd let you know that the PCH is closed about 10 miles south of Lucia due to a rock slide. Check Caltrans for details of when its likely to reopen.

and whatever you do, don't leave it until Nacimiento-Fergusson Road before turning off. This road is not for the nervous. Steep, winding and narrow, with sheer drops on one side and sheer cliffs the other. There are no facilities and it takes ages to reach Highway 101.

Yes we did think about this but thought better of it as we were driving a Cadillac DTS and didn't want to take a chance on getting stuck.
