If I book a Hilton room via a third party (like Expedia etc) will I still get the Au benefits ? I know I won't earn the room credits to contribute to renewal , HH points etc to but will I get the free wi-fi, room ugrade if avaiable and other standard Au perks? I've made a bit of a gaffe hotel wise with my upcoming trip to Tokyo and need to book elsewhere PDQ otherwise DL the Elder , Nessy and I will be sleeing in the subway stations :0 .
Even with the current Hilton sale, third party sites are MUCH cheaper and I've found the Hilton BRG is just too problematic to consider using.
All help gratefully received.
Thanks,
DL

I think the short answer is "yes" as long as you have your HHonors membership card to hand when you check in. There are a couple of threads on FT to this effect.

Thanks Paul (I know you spend lots of time in Hilton proerties) . I did search on FT but to be honest some of the posts I found were a bit vague.

Dear Lady Dragon - do check, perhaps by emailing Hhonors. I recall comment in the past on FT that some third party booking sites like Expedia do not allow for the accrual of Hhonors points and nor do prepaid rates ... See here. I recently stayed at a Westin in Boston on a prepaid rate, and did earn Starwood points though ...

However if the price is right, perhaps that's more important and if you do, then great!

From the HHonors t&c

"Stays that are booked via third party websites are not Eligible Stays irrespective of rate paid, for the purpose of earning points, miles or stay credit toward Elite tier status. Stays booked via "opaque" channels where the brand is unknown at the time of purchase are not Eligible Stays for the purpose of earning points, miles or stay credit toward Elite tier status, or the receipt of Elite tier benefits such as upgraded accommodations / amenities or access to health clubs"

So I guess no stays / points but as you know it's a Hilton when booking then you're good for Au on property benefits.
