Looking back through the year, there has to be some! Share them here.

I do have plenty to share at some point though I am open to bribes to not publish them - yes people, some of you should be scared! :w

Managed to book two rooms in different holiday inns at heathrow :-(

We booked one room and at last minute fatherinlaw decided to stay at heathrow night before as well.

So went online and booked another room not realising it was a different holiday inn.

We got to the 1st holiday inn and presented voucher. They said we were at the wrong holiday inn and to go to the one at other end on Sipson road.

We then went to the other holiday inn and this time somehow presented them with the other holiday inn voucher and were told we were at the wrong holiday inn and to go to the other one at end of sipson road.

All rather embarrassing

As they were franchises they couldnt simply switch to two rooms in the one hotel :-(

So fatherinlaw checked into his holiday inn and we made our way back to the 1st holiday inn to find we'd been upgraded to a two room suite :-(

We did have to laugh in the end

I got ID'D for a drink at Epcot in Disney, they declined my ID on the basis that it was in a foreign language they couldn't understand...

Yes that's a British driving licence in ENGLISH!

Got into a cab at EWR after a very long and delayed VS1, with a long wait at immigration too.

The driver said: "where to?"
I said "Wall Street".
He said: "Where?"
I said "Wall Street".
"What?"
"Waaaallll Street" (in faux-American accent).
"You wanna go to Manhattan?".
"Yes. Wall Street. You know, the Stock Exchange."
"Put it into my satnav."

So I did. And we got there, in the end. It was worth it: I was staying at the Andaz :-D

This is a true story :D
