EBITDA up 20% to £1.1 bn is very strong, interest and debt repayments lead it into loss. Would like to see the free cashflow to see whether they have a problem repaying debts, but I don't see it as an issue that they're in loss currently.

Additionally, lots of positive factors like higher punctuality and the agreement on mixed mode runway operations which will help delays - if the government didn't restrict and constrain, tax, lack policy over, interfere with, carp at etc. the aviation industry, we'd see better for airlines and airports.

All in I'd say a strong performance. Great to see T2 rising so quickly, T5C online last year and we're promised major improvements to the T3 baggage system that will be good for us.

Instead of having one runway for landings and the other for take-offs, both runways are used for a mix of these depending on traffic

The agreement is that at busy times, due to weather or other issues, both runways can be used for takeoff and landing, this helps reduce delays. The agreement is not for permanent mixed mode, now to increase the number of flights, but to help when capacity is breached because of an issue.

The thing is, mixed mode could actually increase the number of flights, but as usual our nimby government won't allow it.

Thanks. Yes, I'm aware of the current trial (which ends next week, incidentally).

I had wrongly inferred from your use of the word "agreement" that there was a more permanent arrangement I hadn't been aware of (although that might well be the case in due course).
