It looks as if the UK Amex chargecard is now being offered free for the first year. This seems (at the moment) to be combinable with the referral bonus awarded by referral from a current cardholder (which nets 22,000 bonus MR points with a £1,000 spend in the first three months for the person being referred and 12,000 for the referrer).
