Hi all
Just wanted to say hi all and now about to start my 6th day here with guess what more shopping
Last night had a great time in shinjuku, went out for yakiniku and while the missus went out to karaoke with a friend I was let loose to do some photography.
Had some fun and took some cool pics, will post on my return. The vibe was great and some of the buskers were cool too. I doubt I could take those kinds of pics in London sadly ( I didn't feel threatened at all which I would in London)
Moving on to Kyoto tomorrow, really going to miss the view from this hotel!!
Anyway hope everyone back in blighty is winding down for the Christmas

We spent yesterday in a suburb just outside Tokyo (About 40mins by express train) and had a nice meal at a friends house. Sitting on the floor Japanese style.
Had to catch a bus to the station to catch our train. The timetable said 20:40 and guess what? It was exactly on time.
Also could use my Tokyo Oyster card though it was miles from Tokyo. And the train fare was only £2.20 for a 40min journey.
In Tokyo you can use your oyster to pay in taxis and in convenient stores plus at some vending machines!!! Also Japanese mobiles have been able to be used as Oyster cards for years now.
Also you can't get penalty tickets on the trains. Just top up the fare when you get to the final destination at the fare adjustment machine.
I love this city !!
