I remember those headsets :| and or course watching the one and only film on the big screen at the front of the cabin.

Sadly I can remember (fondly?) some of these!
Certainly the carving of meat from a trolley and the flower arrangements, though they were set up in the cabin, and toilets, after takeoff. Of course the dinner was cold by the time you got to eat it but that was the norm for American cuisine in those days.
From memory the first class Continental lounges were a step up from their rather overcrowded ones of the present day. Of course I never noticed any hot pants, in those days I only had eyes for mrs hazban! ii)
