After my Emirates Business Dubai to Bangkok leg last year got converted from an A380 to an angle flat B777, I wasn’t overly impressed with the 777 Business product.

I’m looking to do a trip next year to vietnam / Bali next year and because A380s can’t land there it will be a B777 for the second leg.

I know that Emiarates released a new lie flat 777 product in 2017, and an even newer one for the 777 this year... does anyone know how many have been refurbed / what are the chances of getting one?

Am weighing up do I:
- Fly to Bangkok and go for an A380 and then get a cheap short hop flight to get to Vietnam?
- Bite the bullet and do 777 angle flat
- Choose another airline

Any advise / experience much appreciated
Chris

I can't really help you make the decision , but having flown in both there is no comparison between the 777 2-3-2 layout and the upper deck of the 380 1-2-1 ! Plus the advantage of the bar on board.
Having been on the later I was very disappointed with the 777.
You might try an enquiry on the Emirates FlyerTalk forum, there are some very clued up folk on there. (AS there are on here ;-) )

The Emirates 777 Business product is dire! I've flown it on DUB-DXB and DXB-DUR and it has failed to impress. At least you can lie flat in BA's awful Club World.
