Hi All

So I need to book a hotel for the night before my flight to Seattle in November from LHR. I've looked at the IHG options, and considered Crowne Plaza Terminal 4 as I have IHG membership, however i did a dummy book for an uber from there to the upper class wing, admittedly not for correct dates, but it was saying its between 35 and 40 pounds for an uber from there to the upper class wing. That seems a very high amount for the small distance. Is there any better options?

If you're set on staying at that hotel, it might be worth putting in a quick call to the hotel to see how much it would cost. A lot of the hotels at LHR usually have a partnership with a taxi firm and should be able to tell you what the fixed price is as they do dozens of those trips daily,

I should also point out that taxi fares in the LHR are expensive in general. I've stayed in both the Renaissance and the Radisson and taxis are usually between £15-20 one-way, just to go one mile to T2/T3! However, that does include the £5 drop-off charge all taxis have to pay at LHR. I presume the Uber fare you looked up includes that?

There is the Hotel Hoppa bus service, but I've never used it as it seems expensive for what it is and doesn't work out that much better in terms of value for money than a taxi.

Do not use the Hoppa. It's unreliable and expensive. Plus it doesn't take you to the front of the terminal but the central bus station.

I regularly stay at the T4CP have have no issue using either the Tube or Lizzie line from T4 to T3. Both are free though for the tube you do need to use contactless to touch in and out.

True you can't then use the UC wing but IMHO I don't think it's worth spending any extra money to use and especially £30+ quid.

The route is all flat and step free and easiy manageble with luggage and there are plenty of trollies around.
