Sitting in First Lounge awaiting flight for Hong Kong so just thought I would share a comparison with Virgin Lounge.

Checked in fine, though obviously I don'tlook like a first pax. as I was shown to the Club check in desk. I did point I out I was First, and a quick apology later, I was 1st in queue for a smooth, firendly checkin. We had our own security check which was easy again and a direct route to the lounge ensued.

First appearances, it certainly not on par with the new UC lounge (obviously) and looked a bit dated decor wise. However, once seated you soon became relaxed as a waitress asked if we would like anything from the champagne bar - mmmm, champagne I think and 2 glasses followed shortly. As far as food goes at 5pm, there was a nice selection of sandwiches, fresh scones (and real clotted cream - fantastic!!), salmon bagels, Kettle crisps, buscuits and a few other bits. Top class bar and wine selection, though had to wait a bit to be served on 2nd occassion, but no matter.

Facial in the Melton Spa was a professional treatment, slightly upon the UCS one. Lovely room, ambient music and wind chimes!! 15 mins. later felt refreshed enough for another glass of champers while watching the football. Famous Question of Sport team captain has just bumped into me, and after an apology (hold me back!!) I was on my way to the chair for a brief read of paper.

Half an hour to check in, so thought just share a brief prelude to my holiday - will do a TR on BA 1st upon return - we have a RTW to HKG, PER, SYD, and NZ various, back December 1st.

See you later!
