The International Visitor Discount Card I picked up at Macys in NYC specifically states that it is for Macys East Coast only and goes on to list the locations for which it is valid.

Anyone know if you can get a similar card for Macys in SFO?

Cheers,
Brian.

And in case anyone is interested, it's also available at Macy's in Las Vegas (at the Fashion Show Mall).

The one I have is stamped with the date and is valid for 30 days from that date. Interestingly it says "Valid at all Macy's stores" on the front - no restriction on west coast only or anything like that...

There was a 10% discount card for Macys in the room at the SFO Hilton last week valid until end of Jan.

These cards all seem to have different validity dates, so seems best to just get a new one each time. My last one was from MCO which was valid for 6 months in all outlets, i also got one in MIA once that was a 10% off card.

Ahhh I had one of those once, caused all sorts of harrumphings around the US when I used it - usually required telephone calls and lots of shakings of head but always worked!

Wanting to walk in halls where the famous RM and HF have been; I went in the Westin St. Francis to see the Ansel Adams photos. The desk gave me a 11 % discount card valid for any five days before March 2008 at any of the 400 Macy*s coast to coast; including the Union Square location.

I completely forgot to ask for the International Visitors card when I was there (and in the NYC one)......did have a $25 gift certificate though which helped with the tax. Not a well advertised thing to be honest - I only heard about it last year from someone who mentioned it on another forum.
