So I think I heard it was Diana but not sure...
Really nice (short) flight. Arrived Logan a bit late but seen immediately at PE desk as UC busy and given seats and clubhouse pass. Stopped to get book and a gift and didn't rush to CH as past experience has been so doubtful but wow--it was terrific. Just the right size for Boston, and the food was absolutely wonderful. Loads of excellent fresh fish selections--sushi, perfectly cooked prawns, smoked salmon, salads and breads. The drinks counter is much like the NZ lounge at LAX and had a good selection on offer which mostly seemed to be Berry Bros choice similar to on plane.
Flight was full and so was CH but there was room for everyone in the nicely laid out small tables and chairs/benches, private small booths or communal tables in deli area. Lots of people having good talks and nice drinks as well as those using the business area which seemed okay. Great use of a small space and a CH that totally changes the Boston leg of a VS trip.
I wish I had eaten my dinner meal there as food on board was not good at all and will remember that next time although crew were great.
Sleep suits were stacked at the front of the cabin so I nabbed one and changed before take off--quite pleased by the nicer feel of the cotton on these new ones but surprised by how tall I seem to have grown as the trousers on the size small which have always been a bit long for me have now become capris.
Flight okay--not a big fan of 340-300 but enjoyed a drink at the bar and didn't bother with archiac video spool so book, music, sleep and hey presto we've arrived. Quick trip through Revivals (well time for shower, tea and signature eggs)bags checked through to BMI and next stop Edinburgh.
whoops--also forgot that agent at check in said they were trying a new snooze zone allocation which is probably old news to many of you but of real interest to me. Snooze zone seats are not designated until preferences sorted by those choosing seats prior or checking in as agent said there has been a lot of dust raised by those assigned snooze zone who aren't interested. On this flight I actually was unaware that there was a specific zone so perhaps it was bagged.
I've always felt the snooze zone on the 744's upstairs made tremendous sense but on a 340-300 it's annoying for those who do want it and equally annoying for those who don't.
cheers,
