Checked in at 12:30pm, the Upper Class check in was not open, but the new Early Bird desk was, this was the first day of operation and checkin was very quick. Was able to change from 74H to 70K

The lounge was not open until 12:45pm, so some time to check out some of the shops.

This was the first time I had been in the SFO lounge and it certainly makes a nice change to the crowded gate. 2 Beers and a toasted sandwich later, it was time to board the flight.

We were called and they were already boarding the back of the plane. Although there were no delays for the Priority Boarding.

Food and service was very good, it is clear that the PE service upstairs to me is a better experience.

My chair had a problem where it would not recline properly and stay there, although the FA fiddled with it and eventually got it to stay. The footrest would not stay deployed, so it needed propping with a duvet bag all night.

We arrived into LHR on time, a bit of circling over the city, the views were good. Heathrow was busy this morning, so we had to go to a remote stand and get bused into the terminal.

The bags came off quiuckly, although my padlock and zip were missing. It was not locked, but clearly had got snapped somewhere.

All in all, another excellent flight, particulalry the FA service was superb. Whenever this happens, I always let the FSM know when I exit the plane, they always appear to be a little surprised that someone takes the time to say thanks.

Oh, and despite my mainly Y travelling in the past, the Upper Deck UC FA recognised me[y]

I'm sure the FSM will remember you - sad, but many times there isn't a 'thank you' to be heard! And I'll bet you had a nice warm feeling that someone remembered you - whether you were in UC or not.

Too bad to hear about another seat problem - they seem to be cropping up in nearly every TR lately. Also sorry to hear you had a lock snapped - what kind of bag was it, and what lock? I hope you come back and tell us, just so others with that bag and/or lock will know to keep an eye peeled for trouble.

Nice to read a happy TR - may you leave many more! [y]

The lock was a small padlock, that was not connected, but attached to the zip. It's not a big deal. but I need to fix the zip. It was not worth making a claim.

Yes, it is great when an FA remembers you - hopefully not for the wrong reasons[;)]

I always make a point to say thank you for a good flight, people are often quick to complain, but not that quick to tell FSM that it has been a good flights. It's nice to be nice! [y]

Glad you had a good flight!
