A pretty good flight all around, check-in was quick and easy, club house was very good, a very nice way to start the trip, priority boarding worked with a separate boarding gate in effect.

FA's were quick to greet and offer drinks, ninja suits offered as well as the extras in the POS amenity pack.

The food was pretty much what I expected [:#], nothing amazing but just about edible.

This was my first trip in the suite, it was comfortable but still tight across the shoulders to me and I would have to say that in bed mode the padding is harder than BA NNNCW.

We landed on time, bags waiting on the carousel.

We were out on the street within 30 mins of touching down, anew record or me at LHR.

What no grilling at immigration? Did you come through UK channels? Nice to hear that the luggage was actually there waiting - one of my own bug bears that one [:)].

Dave,
Hope you enjoyed Blighty and welcome back to the USA.

I agree that the seat padding does need to be addressed; it will be interesting to see whether VS will pick up on this issue.

The J cabin food out of SFO has been streets ahead of that coming out of LHR for about 12-18 months now, but I agree that it could be better.

Wow, never happens to me, and I'm still waiting to hear back from VS about what their plans are to ensure this service is delivered more reliably. Every VS flight (mostly ex-SFO) except one (which was ex-BOS) into the UK in the last few months (that's 5 out of 6 flights) has had a priority baggage failure - my bag seldom arrives with the other priority bags, and finally comes out about 15 minutes into the Y bags (between 30 and 40 minutes after the IN time at the gate).

My trips on VS19 and VS20 have always experienced appropriate baggage priority. I've done about 7 trips this year, all as it should be luggage wise. In fact on one trip in August my bag was the first off.

Thanks, Dave[:D]

I've never managed 30mins from touch-down[:0] One only hears of those fabled speedy escapes from the clutches of arrivals in aviation showcases, such as Singapore Changi, when you fly mainly LHR-USA/SA[;)]

I've managed 20 mins at SFO once, all the stars were aligned that day.
