Once again the Virgin Crew were fantastic as we returned from our trip with a 15th Month in tow.... they couldnt do enough for us and made the journey so relaxing and peaceful ... it rubbed off on the little one who slept for nearly 6 hours on the way back...

Lounge at LAX was disappointing ( Air New Zealand ) but not far to compare to LHR lounge... the kids zone was goos though ... Finding Nemo keeping us entertined for an hour or two... the food options were very poor though..

Food was great as ever in UCS... though we ate late so some of the options were missing... not a big deal ... little one tucked into the veggie lasagne without worry...

Vport system had problems had to be re-booted ... and was a bit tempremental all trip .. but with little one in tow .. hard to concentrate..

UCS was only 3/4 full and the crew very kindly made up the spare seat beside us for the little one to have a sleep.. which was so nice... crew rewarded with big smiles and waves from our little un all trip.

again top marks to virgin for making the trip so good and taking so much stress away...

oh forgot to add ... they were offering sleep suits in UCS... I thought they had stopped giving them out ?

We were on the same flight!

It was at least an hour late taking off as I remember. Correspondingly it was late into LHR. In the lounge they did the frustrating 'we'll be ready for boarding in twenty minutes', only to repeat it again twenty minutes later, and again twenty minutes after that. Once boarded they didn't waste any time taking off.

It looked like they rebooted the entire IFE three times in a row.

ISTR it being about 7/8 full - the front section was showing only two emty seats on OLCI and expertflyer that day, with the rear about 3/4 full. I'm guessing you must've been down the front as I don't remember any youngsters in the rear section I was in.

Crew were pretty good. My travelling companion buttered me up and used up one of my priority cards for an onboard treatment. Seemed that many others were not so lucky.

Cheers, Howard

On day flights they're not specifically offered, although they are available on request. I always request one as soon as I board and get changed prior to takeoff and never regret it. Sometimes you can be stuck for a couple of hours in your seat before the next opportunity lends itself. Only problem with this is that I find it's often a little chilly for my bod so I also take a cardy on board. Pipe and slippers next.

Cheers, Howard

Glad you had a good flight [:)]

Since the introduction of UCS in J on VS, I've noticed that more people now seem to sleep on day flights. My VS5 Upper Class day flight was pretty much like a over-night flight with the cabin in complete darkness at one point.

yes the annoucments in the lounge that evening were very annoying and confusing......

we were up the front 2/3D which was very quiet ... the traffic for the treatments didnt bother us at all...

as for the little un... we were lucky the timing worked and she was tired otherwise she would have had me walking up and down the aisles for hours ( as per the way out ) but even then she was happy just to walk up and down ... smile and wave at folk...

as for the sleep suits... I thought I say some posts on here that they were replacing themwith the eminity kits only?..

missed out on treatments though ( as I did on the way out )... it seemed quite busy ( disappointed I didnt get a priority card )

but not too worried .. the crew were so good I was happy to miss out

I have noticed that too, our trip to NY in June was on VS003 and even though it was a rather early morning flight, the cabin lights we dimmed and was treated like a night flight. Cominig back from DXB it was the same, when walking around the cabin Y class was in complete darkness, all the shades were down and dark! [:?] It was dark in UC but there were a few people with shades up. Is this so they don't have to have to do so much work??? [:?]
