Thanks for a detailed report from 'down the back' - quite literally in your case!

Great to hear that your expectations were met, and you had two enjoyable flights.

I still can't understand the enormous delay between completing the departure and getting the IFE powered on, when using an AVOD system which doesn't depend on all the headsets being distributed before starting the films rolling. Most other airlines with AVOD tend to power up straight away, or leave the system running gate to gate (sometimes in a restricted mode).

I also see that the 'play loaves' are still provided with the Y meals, ex-LHR, but nice touch that water bottles are provided with the meals in both directions now. Those 'cuplet' things they used to give out are just unhuman!

Being a flying nerd, I like it when the crew give plenty of details about the flight, such as routing, headwinds, take-off weights, etc. Now the avenue of pleasure that is a flight deck visit has been denied to saddos such as I, thanks to the actions of a minority, it's the closest we'll get (apart from Channel 9 on UA).

Excellent TR thanks [y]

I've never yet come across a unfriendly immigration agent when arriving at SFO. They always have a smile on their face. They have it absolutley spot on at SFO and they could teach many many US immigration agents a thing or two about great customer service.

What great TR Kev - so good to hear that your experiences were all good - the picture of the beer made me smile as it is the only that is a bit 'fuzzy'' - kinda suited the subject matter!!

Agree with you about the free round trip offer - I guess at the time you are just thinking - 'want to get home' - and then the offer has gone!!!

Thanks for the TR.

Don't kick yourself about the free RT offer, as they didn't explain it fully. You could have swapped it for 50k FC miles? Oh they didn't tell you that bit. Damn. Naughty people.... [:D]

Thanks,
Richard
