After 16 nights of a wonderful holiday, although pretty tiring as we'd visited every Disney and Universal park, none of us wanted to come home.

Checked us all in on line as we decided not to to DTD check-in as it would have involved paying the $10 fee for all passengers except myself and for that we could buy yet more bargains. My requested seats in PE of 79A&C were still showing, as were rows 61 and 62 H&K for my family, although no alternatives were available on the seats maps and couldn't print out the BPs, yet again.

Took the car back to U-save which is very easy to find and the journey back to the airport only took around 5 minutes and we were dropped off outside the VA check in desks. Check in took around 10 minutes but mainly due to the fact that the persons in front couldn't seem to understand that they had to have their luggage weighed and then remove it.

Our BPs were promptly issued and a Crown room invite for myself and my husband had to be asked for, but the agent was pleasant and quick.

Security took around 10 minutes and we had time for a couple of drinks in the lounge whilst the others spent the last of their dollars in duty free. Boarding on time, and I'm informed by my son that priority boarding did take place although by the time we arrived at the gate we were some of the last passengers to board.

On board we were warmly greeted with 'bubbly' or juice and newpapers were offered to each passengner. The male crew member was extremely polite and efficient and he continued to be throughout the flight. Took off on time and although the drinks service started very quickly it did take a long time for them to get to us, but on doing so they were both so thorough we understood why. We were offered two drinks if required and my husband took them up on the offer. When food was served, one staff member started at the front and the other from the back so the full menu was available and because there were a few children in PE I dont think they ran out of anything. The service was much better than the outward journey, the male crew member even took the trouble to describe the menu and remove the plastic covers from the individual items before passing over the trays.

Watched Hairspray which I really enjoyed but soon after the IFE had problems upstairs and they tried to re-set the whole system. So took the opportunity to have a couple of hours sleep. The system did come back on before landing and I then watched Adam Sandler in Chuck and Larry.

Breakfast was served around an hour before landing but only bothered with a coffee. Landed on time and immigration wasn't too bad and the luggage came round pretty quick too. My son wasn't too happy and he had tried to watch Spiderman 3 twice, the first time the IFE broke down before he saw the end and the second time they turned the system off before we landed and he didn't see then end.

Had to drive home which was the worst part of the journey, but the grey, cold and miserable weather is the most depressing.

Thanks for reading.

You don't, but as the others in my large party would have had to it didn't seem worth it.

great TR so glad you had a great service and good crew. sorry about the IFE the sooner we can get Vport at LGW the better! although my last few flights have been trouble free with barely any re-sets, compared to Vport that sometimes play up.
