Well unless Oswald Mosley has reincarnated :) - that's the one!

We had an FSM on a flight recently who was the spit of Mosley, right down to the moustache. Mind you, poor girl probably found it quite difficult to get a date...

Classic[oo][oo]

And ensures the News of the World will stop sniffing around for yet another story[:w][:w]

Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought that PE were supposed to get the first choice of the menu. To be honest in PE I did not think that running out of the food and bread rolls would be a problem, especially as there were plenty in Economy.

I always thought that part of the extra price that you pay from Economy to PE was this better meal service, as it it one of the things mentioned on the website

'As soon as you're comfortable in your seat you'll be offered a preflight drink and from your menu you can choose one of three tempting meals, to be served on china dinnerware with stainless steel cutlery. You might choose to end with a liqueur and later in the flight we will tempt you with a selection of fresh fruit.'

It definitely says a choice of, and if you look at the economy description is just say free meals and drinks, does not specify you have a choice.

I think that you have a good cause for complaint here.

Claire

ISTBC but I recall on the menu card it has a disclaimer along the lines of 'Sorry if due to previous passenger selection your first choice is not available....'

Whilst one of the benefits of being in rows 79 or 80 in the bubble of the Gatwick Fleet is that you can get a quick exit, it is a fairly regular occurrence not to get t your first choice.

It has happened to Mrs Buns and myself a few times, but I have never encountered a response as the OP experienced.

Terrible. You can serve me shite on a shingle with brilliant service and I'll likely be satisfied but not vice versa. They can take their fine china and cutlery and...well...a gentleman won't say what they can do with it. [n] They should have offered to dump an Economy meal out onto a fine china plate with cutlery, at the very least.

And is anyone else worried about the tail on Slinky's signature line jet???

Thanks Buns, I will remember that for the future. I think Grinning Jackanapes is right when he says they should have given him a meal from economy though, evidently there were plenty there.

My history master at school once called me a blackshirt ... only 15 at the time, such precocity (on his part I mean [:D]). Yes 747340 - but usually it's a grey shirt so they're only semi-fascistic [B)].

As for Mr mdvipond, that may have been my sister [:I].

As virginboy747 says, DO write in and let customer services know what happened. If you can give the dates and your flight number they should be able to determine the crew serving in PE (better if you can recall their names). Its crew like these that give the good ones a bad name and there is no excuse for their behavior. We all have bad days and tough days at work but taking it out on a customer like that and generally not giving a damn when you are in a direct customer facing role is career suicide. Get this reported back so VS have the ball in their court to do something about it! Sorry you had such a bad experience.

Thanks,
Sarah
