Picked up a bottle of Bollinger Grand Annee for 50 reduced from 60 to drink whilst in Vegas and 2 bottles of single malt for the other half after a very swift tasting session.
Went to the Servisair lounge for a while for drinks and nibbles before the flight which was okay and not too busy.
Didn't get called for the secondary check at the gate and was wished a happy birthday by the gentleman checking the passports.
PE upstairs had 2 seats spare and downstairs was completely empty. Sparkling wine offered and menus distributed.
After take off, a drinks round was offered (with apologies for no pretzels) and food given out. It was a change from 'chicken or beef'. This time it was 'chicken or prawn'. The other half said the prawn dish was really nice. I was a little cheeky and asked for glass of champagne from upper class as it was my birthday and the FA kindly brought us up 2 glasses.
I wasn't particularly bothered with the film choice on this trip so had a chat in the galley with the FAs who were really nice.
After a little snooze, small pots of Haagen Das were given out and some time later a sandwich which I didn't eat but my wonderful husband ate mine rather than it going to waste.
There was quite a lot of noise by the galley and it was a group of about 6 men all chatting and being very loud at the top of the stairs and virtually behind our seats as we had 79a/c. I gave up trying to rest and decided to go into the galley for a further chat. At this time the FAs told the guys that no more beer would be served to them but offered wine instead. Some sat down at that point and it became nice and peaceful.
Close to landing, a hot sandwich was offered which was ideal as we knew we wouldn't be eating for a while in Vegas.
Considering we took off over an hour late, the pilot managed to regain half an hour, so we ended up only 30 minutes late into LAS.
The joys of being upstairs and near the back of PE is that you get off the plane quickly and through immigration just as fast in time for the bags to come off the belt. Our bags came off very quickly too and were wheeled out to the MGM's limo which was waiting for us.
Overall, a very nice flight on Ladybird marred a little by the noise from other passengers.
NB. I think 78a in front is slightly broken on the recline as it went back a lot further than 78c making it quite difficult to get out from my seat.
