Our fist transatlantic flight of 2010 and a very pleasant experience. We arrived at T3 at 8am to drop-off our car with Purple Parking and were through bag-drop and security within 30mins.
We headed for the Servisair lounge where we had a mediocre breakfast and passed some time before boarding on time. The process was quick and pain-free.
The flight was uneventful, the team excellent and the food, as usual, very boring and tasteless. We chose PE so that I could get the leg room needed and the seats were just what they say they are. Only problem was that they recline too far and the people in front, as they are entitled, reclined fully. This meant I could not see my v-port screen.
Never a good sleeper on an aircraft I listened to my audio book and tried to meditate for the 9.5 hours of the flight. Arrival at MIA was painless, but a long walk from the gate.
We only took 15mins to get through immigration and then 30 to get our luggage. All in all, just what we expected.
