Arrived at MCO, only one couple in front of us for PE check. I had used OLCI but unable to print boarding passes. The check in lady was a little confused about the amount of cases we were checking in. It was 5 plus a stroller.

We grabbed a bite to eat. There was a gate change which confused us slighty but we boarded pretty quickly and we had bagged four seats at the back of the bubble. This was always going to be difficult to review as we had flown out in the new PE seats (with FABULOUS new IFE!). I booked the later flight back for a couple of reasons. I wanted to try out the bubble, I thought if we were suffering with jetlag upon our return the day would be shorter and I thought the LO's would have more chance of getting some sleep with it being later therefore the IFE would (hopefully) not be an issue.

We were offered drinks and then a meal soon followed. We declined the meal itself but I did munch on the crackers etc. The girls settled down to watch a film but DD2's IFE was not working. The CC said they would re-boot it but this didn't work so they tried again. By this point DD2 was ready for a sleep and so that's exactly what she did - hurrah! DD1 was more restless and missing the flat beds of UC (spoilt rotten?!), aren't we all I agreed with her! I managed to doze off and on for the entire flight. Again I find it difficult to compare the CC to the outbound flight as most of the return journey is spent dozing.

We were offered a hot breakfast before landing, DH accepted but then did not like the look of it, so didn't eat it!

I loved the spaciousness and peacefulness of the bubble for the night flight but would 100% choose the new plane for the outbound trip, so I think for us we made the right decision.

On landing at MAN it quickly became apparent that we had a missing case. Seemed to make sense as the check in lady had seemed a bit confused as to whether we had 5 or 6 items. We found a person at a desk to help us, first guy was not very helpful, then a lady stepped in and very quickly located the case which was still at MCO. I was relieved to find the missing case was not mine but DH's The case was delivered to us the next afternoon

All in all a good flight, the plane did look and feel quite dated having flown on the new one but we have the same flights booked for August and as I say I think we have made the right decision re flights/planes etc

I love reading lots of trip reports on a Friday afternoon, especially those from Florida!

It's always going to be hard comparing the brand new product vs. the oldest in the fleet, however, it seems many like each for their perks - if only the bubble had the new seats and new IFE! One day soon I hope.
