Sorry this is so late! I moved just a few days after I got back and then was without internet for a month at home waiting for it to be installed (stupid Virgin Media), so finally got around to writing this now. Better late than never I guess!

I arrived at T3 around 15:40. There was no queue at bag drop, and since I had already done OLCI, it was a quick process. The agent wasn't particularly friendly, but wasn't terse either. Just a little more warmth would have been nice.

After bag drop I went straight through security and was airside in 10 minutes. I had a wander around duty free, but didn't buy anything.

I arrived at the gate (not as long a walk as last time!!) after a short while and took a seat. At 16:48 and it was announced that we would be boarding in 10 minutes due to a late inbound plane.

Once Bubbles arrived, UC boarding was called at 16:59. Just two minutes later, general boarding began. As I boarded and was about to take my seat (32A, my usual Y seat), I moved off to the side to allow two BTP officers to pass. I didn't really think much of it as they didn't have anyone in tow, but a few minutes later the captain made an annoucement saying we will be late leaving by a few minutes due to "air traffic and a passenger who won't be joining us." A flight time of 7h30min was also announced.

After he and his bags were offloaded, we pushed back and taxied for takeoff, which was at 17:32, 17 minutes late.

J and W were very full, but Y was half empty, with 207 pax total. We were told we could move around after take off, and a few passengers did.

18:16 - drink round number 1 and pretzels

18:55 - drink round number 2 and dinner. (Can't remember what I had but it was pretty good)

20:38 - ice cream

1h 30 to go - brownies, cookies, juice, and water.

Touchdown at 20:41, 21 minutes late.

It was about a 10 minute taxi to the gate and the usual walk from there to customs. The queue wasn't too bad and I was through in 10-15 minutes, with another 10 minutes or so waiting for my bag. Even got a happy birthday from the Customs agent!

Was a pretty easy fight and the cabin crew were visible throughout and very helpful. Which was good as I was heading to NYC for a funeral, so it wouldn't have been too nice if I had a horrible trip the day before.
