Well following a few hectic days in San Fran we headed back to SFO for our quick hop to Vegas.
I had tried to book on line for this flight some three months before travel, but for some reason the website was playing up so l ended up calling Seattle.
Got a very helpful agent who actually picked up my booking and eventually got me sorted. Excellent service.

Pleasant Limo picked us up at our hotel at 11am and we very soon arrived at kerb side baggage drop. I had again checked in on line at -24 ......by now getting used to this chore... ii)
The young man there was very efficient and friendly and with docs in hand we were directed to security within five minutes. Good start y)

Passports checked and we were shown to the fast line and it was very fast indeed and also very friendly...they were also very thorough which is always most comforting.
No pushing or shoving, just a pleasant stress free experience.

Thanks to your good information here l knew we would not get into the CH, so we made for the bar to obtain some Dutch courage in the form of a nice glass or two of Chardonnay :P
We also had a light snack here just to keep us going!
It was a very comfortable experience and with free wifi l was able to connect and catch up a bit!

We headed for the gate about 45 minutes before departure. No queues at all and boarding was in progress.
Docs checked at the gate and we were straight through and on board.

Fabulous welcome from the Captain and cabin steward.
We were in first.....in the first two seats on port side of the aircraft.
As you all know there are only eight seats in first divided by just a screen.

The ambience again was so relaxing and one got a feeling of calm together with excitement of flying with this airline....it was party mood but in a very refined way.
The seats were very comfortable and we were soon suitably reclined and enjoying yet another glass of wine, well l was...Mr CL had a quick fix of vodka and cola.
Surprised to note that our drinks were served in plastic glasses ?|

Our lovely steward was there with us all the time, chatting and making sure we were comfortable, topping our drinks up and showing us what our seats could do.....whoa..it was like something out of star trek! Wifi, live TV, touch button ordering snacks etc..

In what appeared to be no time at all....probably the wine ii) ground crew checked us, quite literally spun the door shut with the press of a button and we were on our way and airborne within minutes....very impressive.

More drinks arrived....this time served in glass not plastic....can't understand this, but maybe you guys will enlighten me.
Mr CL fiddled with all the outer space technology available as l just enjoyed the experience with my feet up!
Birthday greetings were announced including mine.....which brought on a big cheer from all aboard....oh what fun this was ^)

A small snack box was offered to us but was sushi based which we are not keen on, but l did 'pinch' the little chocolate.... :|

All too soon were on descent into LAS enjoying our first view of the strip.
Within minutes of us touching down we were at the gate and doors open....blimey this was quick, l wanted it to last a little bit longer....but we had to go, not before our lovely steward gave me a bottle of the wine l had been enjoying as a birthday gift....how lovely was that.
Captain again popped out to bid farewell and we were on our way, first being off before everyone else.

LAS was very busy, but we soon found our luggage carousel and waited about ten minutes for our bags to arrive, so no complaints there.

Had a limo booked so within half an hour we were on our way to enjoy sin city.

So to sum up.
Loved Virgin America and would not hesitate to travel with them again.....hopefully next time on a longer flight!
As it was a celebration l booked us into first, it cost just under 500 dollars for the two of us.
I would however have no problem with other classes as everyone appeared to be enjoying themselves wherever they were sitting.
For the record....we could have flown on this route for just 59 dollars each, now that ain't bad IMHO y)

Again apologies for any errors.....typing this from my iPad, which at times has a mind of it's own!

Thanks
CL

Great TR, I love the VX experience.

Such a nice touch with the birthday wishes and wine!

Would you mind letting me know how long it took for your TP and miles to credit?

Thanks

Hi Cal,

I called VS FC yesterday and was told l have to send our boarding passes to them to enable them to credit the miles.
Am still waiting for them to credit hubby's miles for the VS flights. :|

Totally ace and top notch TR CL, thank you.

I too love VX. Oh and there's some rule in the US about glass before takeoff ...

Sounds like you had a top notch experience all round. Lots of little touches...

We really enjoyed our one VX flight (back of the bus though :D ); it would be great to have someone playing to that standard in Europe.
