OLCI managed to bag seq 1+2 for the wife and myself.

We stayed overnight at the Sofitel LGW and headed to the Clubhouse for 0700 where my wife had a manicure and I had a shave before we enjoyed breakfast. I found the LGW Clubhouse an excellent place to relax before our flight, the staff were very friendly and a tentative.

We boarded G-VGAL about 45 minutes before take off and were shown to our seats 6 A+K being a refit the cabin was in great condition, once seated we enjoyed a couple of glasses of Champagne and got talking to a few of the other passengers.
The cabin crew were fantastic with nothing being too much trouble.

We took off on time climbing over East London with great views of the Olympic Park.
FSM came around the Upper Class Cabin taking drinks orders and giving out menus, I moved on to red wine as I find the new Champagne glasses are very easy to spill with the slightest movement.
I had the Feather Steak which was very dry and chewy and not at all enjoyable, my wife went with the Chicken and Mushroom Gnocchi which she enjoyed, we both had the Salted Caramel desert which was delicious.
A few more glasses of wine and a couple of hours talking to the other passengers both seated one at the bar and it was time for a nap as we had a long night ahead of us having VIP meet and greet tickets to the Guns N' Roses concert at the Hard Rock Hotel

And Casino which ended at 0300 on Sunday morning. I slept we'll and woke up in time for Coffee and a restroom stop before landing.
We were straight through Immigration and into the baggage hall and cleared customs within half an hour into a vey short taxi line for a quick ride to The Hotel at Mandalay Bay.

I must admit that the LGW Clubhouse felt a lot more intimate the the one at LHR and the staff are second to none.

Last day on the strip today so we are heading out to enjoy it, home via LAX tomorrow n(
