After flying with Virgin (on and off)to MCO for about 15 years (I was young enough to get a cool red backpack in those days..) this was to be my first ever trip in PE.
OLCI was done very promptly at T-24 which confirmed my original seat request. Added bonus of getting Seq 1 which, as these forums have instructed me, is very important!!

Arrived at LGW around 2.5 hours before departure. Bag drop was very efficient, being as I was PE I got to go to the special desk which avoided the longer queue for the Economy cabins. Now in receipt of my Premium Security pass sticker I made my way though, again all very quick and efficient.
After browsing the shops for a while, I made my way to the gate. Boarding was all done on time and soon I found myself turning left onto the plane and settling into my seat with a glass of OJ (not a fan of fizzy wine).
This was also my first time on the Airbus having only been on the 747s before. I loved how spacious the PE cabin feels. Although it is annoying not having the overhead bins in the middle section, I preferred the more open look. I also found the airbus to be quieter to fly on.
The seat was noticeably larger than I am used to in economy, definately more legroom which allowed me to stretch out a bit. I did have to get help with the tray though - was looking in the wrong armrest, what an idiot!!
So after a very smooth and on-time take off we were now airborne with a flight time of just under 9 hours and I had a new entertainment system to play with.

First time with this new system - oh what a difference to Nova/Odyssey!!! Fantastic selection of films/TV and music. It is great to have on demand entertainment! I also noticed it stopped the queues for the loos that seemed to always appear as everyone finished watching the most popular film!! Didn't notice any tapping from the seat behind me that I have heard a few people mention.
Soon lunch was served. I had pre booked a veggie meal which was delicious. Some kind of roasted vegatables with couscous, not spicy but very flavourful. I had a very nice Chenin Blanc to wash it down with - I love how wine comes in little bottles in PE!!
Post dinner Brandy followed (I think I got poured a wine sized portion as I seemed to be the only person to have it!)
Ice-cream followed in the afternoon. This was something I was looking forward to. After years of seeing boxes of Hagen Daas opened in the economy galley only to disappear up the front, I was going to be one of lucky few allowed to eat it!! I hear they will soon be replacing this with Skinny Cow ice cream - booo

Afternoon tea was served a couple of hours out from Orlando. I enjoyed the cheese and onion sandwiches (although it only seems be half a sandwich really....)
We landed a little early in the end and I was one of the first off the plane arriving to one of the wonderous sights - an empty immigration hall!!!!! Baggage was off early too so I was onto the shuttle and into the arrivals hall in less than 30min after landing - a new record for me!
All in all, an excellent PE flight!
