This was an unscheduled trip to our US home due to the cold winter, we used our air miles, albeit in Economy, but managed to get 80J & 80K up in the Bubble, felt it would be an interesting comparison to having travelled PE last November/ December. Well, what could I fault? Nothing really, all was as expected. Aircraft was not full, 328 including 17 crew, PE in Bubble had only 12 seats taken, push back on time, drinks served, meal was simple - Waldorf salad, Thai chicken curry and rice, Gu lemon mousse, perfectly adequate, skinny cow ice lolly(do wish it was still Hagen- Daz! ) additional refreshments pm, and then afternoon snack of sandwich and mini cupcake. After 3 films and a nap, we were on approach, a little earlier than schedule, landing at 17-36.

Now my thoughts on comparing the seats in the Bubble would be tested when it came to disembarkation, there was a slight delay, air bridge was stuck, cleared after 5 minutes, we were the first to come down the staircase, so all the PE in front of the Bubble were behind the Econ passengers. When the aircraft door was opened, we found that we were in the first 6 passengers to disembark, the crew, as usual, were holding back the rest of Economy, also the Pilot had suggested that we all hurry along as the Gatwick flight was just pulling in! So, we were through US Homeland security in less that 5 minutes, luggage arrived in about 20, we were in the Garage at Alamo in another 10 minutes.

So, flying Economy was okay, no real problem, obviously seating was tighter, though, sitting in 80k gave you more space with the side storage pods, seat fully reclined, what more could you ask for?

We return in the same seats, so, hopefully the flight will be as enjoyable.
