Will start report from the day before when i attempted on-line check in. I first attempted this at 24 hrs before flight but had no joy in getting through to check in,system problem, try later ect ect, when i finaly did get through i found we had been moved from our bubble economy seats 79 a,b and c to economy seats 58 a,b and c,called Virgin to see what the problem was only to be told the problem could be sorted when we got to Gatwick later in the day to do the twilight. All packed we set of to Gatwick, quick check in for the over-night stay at the Hilton and straight over to the Virgin twilight check in. Turned out after a little explanation that the reasons our seats were moved was because the plane had a very light load (around 250 passengers) so for take off and landing safety reasons we got move as the aircraft would of been too heavy up front,i was a little disapointed but what can you do. We were all up bright and early to have a great breakfast in the v-room,the view over the airport is fantastic and it was a great start for our holiday. Flight was called and off on what seemed a mini hike to the gate where the slendid looking G-VAST,Ladybird was our big bird to take us to warmer parts. Once on board i have to say we were all very impressed with the refurbished interior, and also how great the new in-flight entertainment system was, watched a few films the choice of what to watch was great and the system easy to use, supped a few tiger beers and all well fed,the chicken and leek with mash was good, sandwiches later in the flight, happy days. All the cabin crew were great and happy to help with any requests or problems, then and after what seemed an age we were touching down in Antigua to off load passengers(This flight was VS083 but that was not in the options box when choosing flight number, maybe a tech person can address this

) Seemed to take ages before we got clearance to take off from air traffic control in Antigua, maybe he was enjoying his lunch or maybe i had to accept we were now on Carribean time

. After an hour of waiting off we went for the final leg of the trip and it seemed a very odd experience being on a huge 747 aircraft with probebly no more than 75-100 people left on board as most passengers got off in Antigua. Landed safe and well in St Lucia to begin 2 weeks of sun, sea, sand and all inclusive mayhem, return trip was far from great but will submit another report on that soon.
