[color=#BF00FF]Well here it goes, my first TR so I am sorry if it is not perfect! 8D y)

We left the house at 12.30 and began our trip to Heathrow. Our aim was to arrive at 1.30 to have plenty of time in the clubhouse. However we began to fret when we heard of the delays on the m25 but by this time there was nothing we could do about it so sat in the traffic for over 2 hours, most of this time I was counting how much precious clubhouse time I was missing out on. But eventually we arrived at the dtci driven by our fabulous driver( cheers Gavin ). We jumped out the car and straight inside where we were checked in quickly and efficiently by the quiet but pleasant staff. And so off we went through security. We had to wait a short while but I am sure the queue was nothing compared to all the other security channels! After security we raced through duty free, still counting down the lost time in clubhouse. Thankfully the view of the stairway to heaven emerged and before I knew it I was entering the CH.

As we entered the clubhouse we were welcomed by a very polite member of staff who took us in and showed us where everything was. We immediately headed over to the treatments desk to book ourselves a treatment. Both myself and my sister booked to get our nails done a 4.15 and so we had plenty of time to have a bite to eat. And so of course we sat down and took a quick look at the menu. But of course everyone chose the clubhouse burger!! And very tasty it was too...

After our lunch myself and my sister headed up to the roof terrace to take a quick look at the planes. We handed back down and played some computer games whilst helping our selves to the sweets! :p 4.15 quickly arrived and so we headed over to get our nails done. The staff were very friendly and chatty which was nice and I very VERY happy with my French manicure! After my nails were completed we headed up to the roof terrace in hope that our nails might dry a bit quicker but also to take a good look at the planes. We stayed for a while but then headed back down to see dad. And Surprise surprise he was drinking a beer! :D

Shortly after we headed out to the terminal to buy some plug adapters! This was when we realised just how lucky we were to be in the clubhouse! The terminal was packed full with very few chairs left and of course baking hot. Therefore we decided to keep our time in the terminal to an absolute minimum and as soon as we'd brought our stuff we headed straight back up into the peace and quiet!!

We then decided to play pool where of course I beat my sister(she thought it would be a good idea to pot the black ball after only a few shots) so of course the game didn't last long but it was a laugh! Again we popped up to the roof terrace where we took a few pictures and watched the planes for a while! We headed back down stairs and sat around for a while, occasionally grabbing a few sweets from the jars :D

However by this time I was feeling a bit 'peckish' and decided now was the time to order my self and ice cream. Sure enough a few minutes later my vanilla ice cream arrived and so I 'tucked in'. During this time I made a quick FaceTime call and then went and took a few more photos of the clubhouse!!

At this time we were getting more and more excited for the flight and eagerly walk to our gate (36). When arriving at the gate we could not see a priority boarding lane and so waited in one queue . However the queue did not take very long and we headed off down the tunnel only to find another queue but again this didn't bother me and before we knew it we were boarding the aircraft.

On arrival we were greeted by the CC and I was offered a drink before take off. Before taxiing we waited quite a while delaying take off but the only thing in my mind was oh well, all the more time in UC!! :D We then had all the usual safety talks etc and finally we were soaring up into the sky! Take off was rather pleasant and i would also like to say how good I think the gate to gate ife is!

A short while after takeoff the seatbelt signs went off and again a short while after this CC came round offering us crisps and another drink, which of course I accepted!

I then decided to settle down and watch I film on the ife until dinner came round. The CC came around to take our dinner orders and I chose chicken salad for starters ( picked off the graze menu as I didn't like the actual starters, fussy I know!) I then chose the chicken breast with new potatoes etc which was very tasty an lastly I had the cheese and biscuits, although only a few cheeses and crackers it was a good variety in my opinion. Over all I thought the quality of the food was very good and was up to my expectations.

At this time I felt it necessary to take a quick 'nap' and so I made up by bed and 'rested my eyes'. Fortunately I found the beds much comfier than what I expected and so I had a good rest(3 hours).

After this I ventured three metres to the bar where myself, my sister and dad each ha a drink and also tucked into mini hamburgers from the graze menu. As I have previously said the CC were so Polite and helpful, going out their way to help you enjoy the flight as much as possible! We began to experience a bit of turbulence so the pilot turned on the seatbelt sign. I then took this opportunity to continue to watch the film and before we knew it we were beginning our descent.

As we came in to land the views from the plane were great although it was dark the lights looked spectacular :D Landing was smooth and we quickly off the plane. We were off the plane by 11 and in the taxi at 11.30!
overall a very enjoyable flight! ^)
