Family gifted us tickets on Jersey Girl in Economy - which was novel as we have used PE for ten years. Would have considered upgrades to PE but VA wanted a ludicrous £2K each one-way on VS027! (they were begging us to do it for £199 each on VS028 07/05!) See trip report.

Would have paid for Clubhouse as we always do in PE but got run-around between VA and VH about that. It would almost have been cheaper to have booked a cheap holiday to a minimum standard resort in Orlando with hotel and car than to buy economy direct with VA.

Found the seat pitch fine and we had a vacant H next to JK on the side so were able to spread out. Food appalling apart from the chicken korma and drinks service was frankly beyond mean. The separate dessert in a polish can top was quite sickening.

No tea or coffee with the afternoon tea which came in a huge box yet had a dried up cheese and pickle finger sandwich and a foul cake in a round box rattling about inside. Why not a box half the size and a finger cake?

Vera system was excellent - I watched 4 new films.

When will Virgin realise that the food they serve on their flights is probably worse than the food being served at Wormwood scrubs(not that I am speaking from experience).
I do realise that you are in a crowded tin can , 38000ft in the air and you would be mad to expect restaurant quality food, but surely they can do better than what is served at present. They need to be different, maybe think outside the box.
Here's to them signing a deal with Mc Donald's, a Big Mac over the atlantic sounds like a match made in heaven lol.................
