After two weeks of fantastic weather it was time to get ready to go home. Using the free wifi in the Millers Ale House on 192 I did OLCI but with 7 to check in only manged SEQ 20-26, not great but not bad considering I was eating my steak at the time :) . We had pre requested seats 16c,17-19AC for both legs of the journey and would esp recommend 19A. Full recline and quiet in the corner. As the return flight was 19.35 we used the downtown Disney check in to dump the bags. Very quiet when we arrived at 11.30 but the agents were only really interested in extracting the $10 pp fee. The agent handling the admin (boarding cards, luggage labels etc.) said nothing at all to me until handing over the BC. The rest of the time spent talking to colleague. Not impressed. Spent some time in the Marketplace having a latte and people watching before heading off to MCO. During the drive the heavens opened and driving on Sand Lake and the Beachline reduced to 10 mph. Never seen so much rain. Dropped of the cars at Alamo, very quick and hassle free. Made our way to A side and decided to get through security as soon as possible. As has been said elsewhere, not a pleasant experience. Multiple lanes having passports and boarding cards checked then into a single line before split into multiple lines for screening. What a shambles. Much moaning from all concerned. Only took 30 mins to get through but it seemed longer. Adjourned to the outback for a couple of beers $11.99 each :0 then more moderate dining at Burger King ;) . Off to gate 81 with a couple of hours till flight. Very quiet at the gate and started boarding 20 mins before the estimated time, caught me out as I was spending the last few $. On board and settled very quickly. Welcome drink offered and accepted. 401 plus crew on board and we pushed back 10 mins early. Flight time given as 8.01. IFE on straight after safety briefing and then a drinks run before dinner with wine. I declined food so rating comes from Mrs Needsomesun. Flight very smooth and without incident. Breakfast, mini full English or veggie version offered. About 90mins from landing. Landed just about on time and through an empty immigration hall in 5 mins. Bags coming through as we arrived in the reclaim area and we were in the minivan on our way home by 9.30. A word about the cc, Very good and attentive throughout the flight. I declined pretty much everything, except water, and the crew checked back more than once to see if I needed anything. Even managed to get some sleep :) . All in all a good experience. Received an email from the Flying club this morning re flight etc, just a general email but just thanks for flying etc and hope to see you again soon -do not recall getting one of these before.

Yep, 19A/C definitely top seats, noone behind to annoy and 1st off the plane. Only ones that may be better are 14A/C if you can get them, due to the vast legroom...

Thanks for the TR y) Sounds like you were stung at the Outback...sure we've never paid that much for a beer v( Have used DTD for check-in previously and had a similar experience, so tend not to use it now, though it is useful to ditch the bags :?

Seems that your flight ticked all the boxes so well done VS ^) ^)

Mrs Needsomesun has reminded me, ever so gently, that that the $11.99 included a $3 shot of whiskey so only $8.99 a pint, not exactly a bargain but it was Samuel Adams :D I blame the memory lapse on the beer first then food approach to meals ;)

I just read your report. Thanks for posting. I was happy to hear that 19 A&C were good for you. I have those seats on VS028 later this month. I looked on seat guru at the charts and they have 19 A&C as cautioned for maybe not reclining as much as the others in PE. In case anyone has missed it seat guru has updated their seating charts for VS.
