Returning with the wife from a nice break in Orlando. We were notified on the day that our flight would be delayed by 1 hour - no big deal. We used the excellent Downtown Disney check in which left us free of luggage for the day. Queues at TSA Security were horrendous and it was hot!. We found out that the flight had been amalgamated with the later flight so was really busy. Unfortunately we were sat behind the family from hell! Impossible to sleep or watch films without being aware of them. We suspect that they were upgraded to PE because of the amalgamation (which seems a regular thing). Its so annoying when you pay top dollar and get this sort of business. The food was okay but the breakfast was very strange - supposed to be scrambled egg and Canadian Bacon. I complained to Virgin on return but got the usual standard lines. Just as an aside surely the USA needs to do something about the horrendous queues at immigration - couldn't even get off the plane on arrival at MCO.
Given up going to the USA, there are so many more countries with equally great scenery who go out of their to welcome visitors. Shame as I used to live in the US but resent being treated like a "criminal" with finger prints and photos taken by the TSA! Surely with today's technology the TSA should be able to recognise from passport number etc that they already hold your details? Thought that was why you are required to supply passenger information 24 hrs in advance of a flight?
Thanks for the TR,not good when the minority spoil it for the majority but unfortunately that's the way life seems to be nowdays!( maybe getting too deep)
Not surprised at the queues at MCO immigration as we were faced with the same in April Really frustrating when you get the family from hell on an overnight flight as there is not much you can do other than try to block them out
