This was a business trip to Philadelphia. I was pleased to be able to select a seat in the bubble a couple of hours before online check-in opened.

As usual I used Purple Parking meet and greet at T3 and checked in about 1:30pm for the 4:15 flight to allow time to visit the no. 1 lounge, where I had a light lunch. The gate opened at 3pm. Being in the bubble they board rows 75-80 fairly early on, and I settled into my seat in row 79 - back row on the left side of the bubble.

We were delayed on the ground due to a "technical problem". Eventually we pushed back about 30 minutes late and got into the air just before 5pm. The flight was scheduled for 6 hours 43 minutes. The inflight entertainment had to be rebooted twice, and the crew had to call back to base for advice. I had my iPad as usual so was not concerned -- as an observation this was my 5th flight on VS this year and Vera has been rebooted on most of those flights. The food was average, I chose the chicken korma which I enjoyed. Service in the bubble was excellent.

We touched down about 6:45 pm and got to the gate about 10 minutes later. Being in the bubble we deplaned first after the downstairs upper class. We got to immigration and were there at the same time as a plane from Tel Aviv. Luckily after queuing a while I was directed to a short line. It took 30 minutes to get through immigration and customs . I then took the air train to the Amtrack station. I took the 8.23pm train to Philadelphia arriving there at 9:30pm.

In summary another smooth trip, neither the slight delay pushing back or poor IFE impacted it y) .

Ah got to love the technical problems that crop up from time to time, good to read it wasn't much of a delay and the service excelled in the bubble. y) y)

A shame about the IFE but as you say and unfortunate common occurrence, lets hope they get it sorted soon.

A positive TR for a decent flight y) Glad to hear that the couple of minor problems did not affect you, I hope that the other pax felt that way too :(!
