It's been a long weekend so far continuing on from the VS200 LHR-HKG, the CH in Hong Kong was a nice break I stopped for a Mojito, ice cream and Champagne before boarding into 9A I have to say that having started the week in a 747/400 in 19K I think the suites are a lot more confined on a 340/600 than a 744 but still enjoyable none the less.
Boarding, pushback and takeoff were all on time, I had a couple of glasses of Champers followed by a couple of the Cotes Du Rhone I chose the cheese plate and an early night.
The bar got busy straight away it i didn't go up until halfway through the night, when I arrived there were a couple of guys that had been there all flight one of them a Z lister making sure he was seen "nasty someone or other" from one of the early Big Brother series (sorry I can't be more helpful I don't watch those programmes).
Bad news Joey they ran out of JD, apparently they only loaded ten mini bottles for the flight.
Back to bed and it was soon time for breakfast Bacon Roll and coffee time before changing for landing.
I did the usual and gave the FSM some chocolates to share out with the crew and something must have got lost in translation as three of the Cantonese crew members came up to me and asked if I wanted chocolates

Again no AU greeting but interestingly enough the member of CC in charge of the bar who was also looking after the section of the cabin I was in said that in his pre flight briefing he was told that I was the only AU in Upper Class, still it's not an issue for me but maybe it would have been of the Zleb.
Holding for a while on approach to SYD but landed on time and followed the very easy route through to International Transfers, even ended up chatting to the guy who was checking my bag about my favourite Aussie Rock band Airbourne thinking to myself how does he know what I was listening to last night then I saw which t-shirt I had pulled out of my bag and that gave it away.
Now time to relax in the Koru lounge, as VS AU travelling on VA in PE (no business class on my flight) I shouldn't be in here according to the lounge access manual but I was asked if I wanted to pay $55 to enter I said yes and was then asked what time my flight was and as I'm only here for a max of three hours she let me in anyway.
Another good flight and crew shame the next four legs are in PE but at least I'm AU for another year.
