Still catching up on my TRs, especially now having done another 6 flights since this one!

After a long weekend/short break (however you look at it) in the beautiful city of Edinburgh, and a full Scottish breakfast and a nice walk up Arthur’s Seat that morning, it was time to fly home, ready for work on Monday. n(

This short return trip was uneventful. Did OLCI, dropped our bags, and soon enough we were through security, without any drama. We soon found the gate which was the same one we used 3 days ago. At that time, however, we noted that the incoming flight hasn’t yet arrived, so I was worried about delays. Shortly after though, to my relief, we saw the plane (Tartan lady, or lady Tartan :? ) come in to the gate, and pax getting off.

The time had gone past the scheduled time for boarding, and it was clear that there was going to be a small delay on this, but no announcement was made by the ground crew who had been standing in front of the microphone for quite some time. Anyhow, about 20 minutes later than scheduled, boarding started by seat rows. We took off smoothly with 15 minutes late, but nothing major.

This time I flipped through the Ruby magazine – it’s not the thickest magazine in the world, but it’s ok to kill a few minutes. I understand that it’s quite new, so good on VS to introduce this to strengthen the LR product.

The pax load was again good on this flight, which I recall to be almost full. It was a Sunday late afternoon/evening in the summer where a lot of people are flying back after a leisurely weekend break, but still it was good to see that perhaps LR is getting a bit more popular and making its own name. A few pax onboard were also to pick up connections from LHR to fly further afield, as there was a ground crew member waiting after getting off to take them on the dedicated bus to T3.

Not much more to say about this one really. We got to LHR safely with a very minor delay, and the taxi pick-up was late anyway so it didn’t matter.

After my first taste of LR I was on another trip a couple of weeks later, so will report on that separately. 8D

Thanks for the TR, look forward to the others.

Being where we are, there really isn't going to be much in the way of chances to use LR. We have got a couple of freebies (from I can't recall which promo) but I think they will just expire.

So instead, I shall just have to read others' experiences.
