Arrived at LAX to be greeted by a rather large queue for check-in. Thankfully it didnt take too long to get through. We had allowed a fair amount of time incase of lots of security checks like there were in London. However there wasnt much checking at all so we ended up with a bit of time on our hands!

Finally started boarding and found our seats. I like having just the 2 seats by the window rather than the 3. After flying PE on the way out our seats seemed very small, hard and uncomfortable. However we took off on time and were told the flight would actually be 25mins shorter than expected, plus we had the great v-port.

We took off bang on time and drinks came round about 45mins later. As soon as the v-port was working I put a film on. Drinks came round about 45mins after we took off, followed by evening meal. I had chicken pasta which was not like what I had on the way out it was horrible, the other food on the tray was nice though (caesar salad, lime cheesecake, cheese and biscuits)

Once all that was cleared away I watched the end of the film. Over these couple of hours we had quite a bit of turbulance and they did stop serving food for about 10mins, it wasnt particually bumpy it felt more like the sensation you would get on the sea, im sure if you did get seasick this sort of turbulance could make you quite ill. I coped ok though the only trouble I had was missing my mouth a few times when trying to eat the dessert! When the film finished I then fell asleep for 4 1/2hrs! My friend woke me up to tell me breakfast was being served. Breakfast was quite nice muffin and an egg and cheese croissant, followed by a few cups of extremely strong coffee.

I then watched a few episodes of Max & Paddy and the next thing I knew the pilot came on explaining that it was very rare but air traffic control had given them permission to land straight away so he was go to get on with it and if cabin crew could get ready for landing it was quite amusing to hear the shock in his voice!

Landing was good, the weather was not! back to the dull grey British climate!

Took a while to get off the plane, imigration busier than I had seen it before but once through all that we got our cases quickly and I was soon driving up the M40 feeling like I had never been away! Roll on the next holiday!
